I’m shocked just how much more efficient electric vehicles are than Internal Combustion Engines (ICE), even when charged with the worst fossil fuels, and even when considered on a life-cycle basis.
This article from Fortune shows that total lifecycle emissions are far lower for EVs even though they are twice as energy intensive to produce. I chose this because its a mainstream source. Here’s another article from a more science-oriented (“Left-leaning”) source — the Yale Climate Connection, which shows the same information in much greater detail.
